In the early 1990s, a new style of clear products began with the remake of Ivory soap from its original milky solution, the idea spread to many companies, including PepsiCo. Crystal Pepsi was released as a caffeine-free clear solution to normal versions, promoting the idea of their combining clearness with purity and health. Its marketing slogan was "You've never seen a taste like this". However after about 1 year the Crystal version of pepsi was discontinued. It is beleived that it was discontinued because people just couldnt get used to the taste and color of the beverage.
